Touching The Shores

I close my eyes and feel the closeness of the waves;

they pass by me like a memory not yet made.

I feel the breeze getting stronger;

I feel it piercing through my skin.

It is a new kind of rejuvenation;

it is in some ways enticing.

Nothing can compare to this bliss

that I see even when I am not dreaming.

I touch the sand and be one with what I lost;

the water washes over all my worries.

How can you not fall in love here?

How can you want to leave?

I know I’ll have to go home someday but for now,

this paradise is all I need.

    1. Well you know what they say, grass is always greener on the other side. For us who don’t live there, would want nothing but to be there. Then again, reality is always different than fantasies. Thank you for your comment. It’s always nice hearing from you. 🙂
