Knowing My Home

This city, it’s huge!

You get lost in the crowd and find something new.

You keep me by your side,

and you’ll see what you have been missing.

I am going around, corner to corner,

stopping only to pick my next move.

She tells me no one is ever going to hurt me again.

Maybe not, but then there won’t be no fun left.

I’ll keep going, alone, or with her;

whichever way it is, it’ll not be the same.

Now I have been doing this for years,

I never left my city,

but I still keep feeling I am new here.

I find not only new things about this city

but I find myself anew.

This exploration is never ending

but however big, it is and will always be home.
